INTRODUCING: Azaleas
"Study hard". a refrain I often heard growing up in Korea under the supervision of my mother, a product of societal pressures and traditional upbringing. This phrase, which used to be an enormous point of contention has grown to motivate me as a small business owner and community member.
The act of studying to better oneself is one I champion, a testament to the many inspirational women I grew up with and know personally - most of whom I’ve outfitted throughout our 14 years (and counting) in the East Village.
Each individual I’ve encountered are constantly bettering themselves in one form or another.
Yanghee, our model in this photoshoot, is the perfect embodiment of this sentiment. An international dancer and choreographer who uses her body and creates movement and who relies on discipline and routine for her craft.
