Why we love Lara Kazan
First, because Lara is like the cutest girl (woman really).
Second, because Lara makes like the cutest things (accessories mostly).
Third, because Lara makes things your friends will like want to buy for you come Holiday season. 

Lara has been with Azaleas since the beginning. The first year, people went crazy for her legwarmers and her metallic leather fanny pack. Then it was her armwarmers and ponchos. Then it was her capelettes and her shrugs. Oh, and don't forget her little tie scarves and crochet knee-highs. Everything Lara makes is a huge hit for us. All you hear is "OMG, that is the cutest thing EVER!" 


About Lara
A native New Yorker, Lara Kazan graduated from NYC's Laguardia High School of the Arts. She earned her degree in fashion design from Washington University, and spent seven years designing on 7th Avenue. In 1999 Lara left a steady designing career and, together with her brother Wayne as her business partner, formed Lara Kazan Designs.

Lara Kazan kicked off her line of hand-knit accessories in 2000 with "Lara Legs", a feminine, vintage inspired line of hand-crocheted legwear. After two successful seasons, Lara has expanded her line to include hats, capes, belts and scarves.

Besides designing her own accessory line, she designs a junior and kids line of sportswear for a major manufacturer, created puppets for a Crunch Gym ad, helped open one of the hippest boutiques in Brooklyn, and costumed and styled numerous stage productions and commercials.
